Brand Identity: How to make an impact in business

How do you create a Brand?

First define what makes you unique, what gives you an edge. Then make sure this is validated in everything you do, how you operate, what you offer. Use it as the foundation for all decision making and make it a solid part of your company's policies. Make sure it is reflected in every area of your 'packaging'.

This includes all contact with the public, including brochures, business cards, your website, the way your establishment looks, your staff looks, and especially in the way all company members interact with customers. A brand is cultivated through the decisions and actions which eventually make the desired impression on the public.

A brand is trust. Your customer's experience must always meet with their expectations. This is how you become known for what you offer. To make a Brand successful, it must be the right combination of logic and magic - or the meeting of the right brain and the left brain in your company. The message must be clearly defined and make sense, but it must also make a connection with your customer.

That is where the 'magic' happens.
